Drug Formulation
Chuan Wutou 4 liang (roasted, with navel skin and tip removed), Wulingzhi (with sand and stones removed, stir-fried) 4 liang, Fuzi (roasted, with skin and navel removed) 2 liang, White Flower Snake (soaked in wine, with skin and bones removed) 2 liang, Cinnamon Bark (with coarse bark removed) 2 liang, Qianghuo (with root base removed) 2 liang,Tiannanxing (processed) 2 liang, Dried Ginger (processed) 2 liang, Tiger Bone (fried in butter) 1.5 liang, Chrysanthemum Flowers 1.5 liang, Linglingxiang 1.5 liang, Jinyashi (calcined red, quenched in vinegar 3 times) 1.5 liang, Agastache Leaves (dirt removed) 1.5 liang, Dragon’s Blood (ground separately) 1 liang,Fragrant White Angelica 1 liang, Sichuan Lovage 1 liang, Ephedra (with roots and nodes removed) 1 liang, Licorice (roasted) 1 liang,Wolf’s-bane (processed) 1 liang, dried scorpion (de-toxified, processed) half a liang, soapberry (roasted, with skin and seeds removed) half a liang, white silkworm (stir-fried, with silk threads removed and chopped) half a liang, cinnabar (ground separately) half a liang, realgar (ground separately) half a liang, fine pine soot ink (burned) half a liang, borneol 1 qian (ground separately),1 fen of musk (ground separately), 4 liang of raw rehmannia root, 4 liang of angelica root (place both in a small mortar, grind into a paste, then add 3 sheng of ash-free wine and simmer the paste until half-dry).

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix it into the Rehmannia and Angelica paste, and blend thoroughly. Place the mixture in a wooden mortar and pound with over a thousand strokes until it resembles a paste. When the mixture becomes too stiff, use a paste made from flower snake wine to gradually add and mix evenly. Form 10 pills from each liang, and air-dry them in the shade.

Instructions for Use
Take 1 pill at a time, washed down with hot black bean-infused wine (roast black beans until charred, then soak them in wine while still hot; discard the beans and use only the wine), regardless of the time of day. On the very first day of onset, take Shenbai Powder immediately, followed by this medicine; this will prevent the patient from becoming permanently disabled.
