Drug Formulation

1 liang of Angelica sinensis, 1 liang of black pepper, 1 liang of Sichuan Achyranthes, 1 liang of Platycladus orientalis (raw), 1 liang of Clematis chinensis, 1 liang of willow twigs, 1 liang of Sophora japonica twigs, 1 liang of mugwort bundles, 1 liang of Trichosanthes kirilowii seeds, 1 liang of Cinnamomum cassia, 1 liang of Sichuan Aconite slices, 1 liang of Carica papaya, 1 liang of dried ginger, 8 qian of Angelica dahurica, 8 qian of Lindera aggregata,8 qian of tangerine peel, 8 qian of red peony root, 8 qian of lingzhi, 8 qian of licorice, 8 qian of Eucommia (raw), 8 qian of mistletoe, 8 qian of notopterygium, 8 qian of续断, 8 qian of防风, 8 qian of duhuo, 8 qian of bone bark, 8 qian of cicada slough, 8 qian of abdominal skin, 8 qian of safflower, 8 qian of Qingfeng藤,5 qian of Chuanxiong, 5 qian of Acanthopanax bark, 5 qian of snake exoskeleton.

Processing

Crush the above herbs as appropriate. Fry them in 240 liang of sesame oil until charred black, filter out the residue, and refine the oil until a drop forms a bead. Add 100 liang of cinnabar and stir evenly to form a paste. Remove from heat and place in cold water to neutralize the heat toxicity, then reheat to melt.Separately prepare the fine ingredients: Frankincense 2 liang, Myrrh 2 liang, Camphor 2 liang, Cinnamon Bark 2 liang, Aconite Root 2 liang, Sulfur 2 liang. Grind all six ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly, and spread into plasters; each plaster should contain 5 qian of oil.
