Chinese Name : 栀子膏

Drug Formulation

Half a liang of Gardenia seeds, half a liang of Sichuan Cimicifuga, half a liang of rhinoceros horn shavings, 3 fen of snake gall, 1 liang of indigo leaves, 1 liang of raw Rehmannia root, half a liang of Scutellaria baicalensis, and 1 liang of Sichuan rhubarb.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Place them in a pot with 1 jin of lard and simmer over low heat until the color of the mixture changes. Strain out the residue and store in a porcelain container.
