3 qian of mercury, 1 liang of real realgar (simmer gradually in 2 jin of rice wine, adding more as needed until the wine is completely evaporated).

Processing

Grind the mixture into a fine powder, wrap it in paper, take one large toad, gut it, leaving only the liver and lungs, place the medicine packet inside its abdomen, sew it shut with thread, and set it aside for use;Next, grind 1 liang each of silver nitrate and white alum into a fine powder. Place the mixture in a Yangcheng jar, add half a tea cup of water, and simmer over low heat until the mixture is completely dried to the bottom of the jar. Remove the jar and set it on the ground, then place the toad inside. Cover it with an iron bowl,seal it with salt and mud, and simmer over low heat for three incense sticks’ worth, medium heat for one incense stick’s worth, and high heat for one incense stick’s worth. Let it cool completely before opening. Scrape the potent medicine from the lid, grind it into a fine powder, and mix it with toad fat (emulsified) to form pills the size of a mustard seed; take them on an empty stomach.

Instructions for Use

For all types of fistulas, place one pill on a medicated plaster, align it with the fistula opening, and let it sink in until it reaches the bottom before withdrawing. Fresh fistulas will dissolve on their own, and old ones will recede on their own; results are visible within 7 days. If they have not completely receded, use another pill; this will eradicate the condition without exception.
