Drug Formulation

1 sheng of salt (place in a coarse earthenware jar, pack the opening tightly with clay; first surround with rice bran embers, then gradually add charcoal until thoroughly heated until red; when the salt resembles watery liquid, remove from heat; allow to solidify, then break the jar to extract the salt), 1 sheng of fermented soybeans (simmered),1 liang of peach kernels (stir-fried with wheat bran), 2 liang of roasted croton seeds (remove the inner membrane and shell; stir-fry between sheets of paper until oil is released; ensure the seeds are neither undercooked nor overcooked—if scorched, the potency is reduced; if undercooked, they may harm the patient).
