Instructions for Use

Use 5 sheng of sesame oil. First, simmer the oil until fully heated, then add white gum resin, patchouli, costus, and feverfew. After a short while, remove from heat, strain through cotton, and pour into a porcelain bottle.Pound the remaining 8 types of incense into a fine powder, mix with honey (do not make it too wet), and fill a small porcelain bottle to the brim. Cover the opening with cotton, tie it in a cross pattern, place a small bottle over the large one so that their openings align, and seal them tightly with clay. Then dig a hole in the ground and bury the oil bottle so that its opening is level with the ground. Gather dry cow dung and burn it for 7 days and 7 nights; there is no need to rush.it is even better to burn it for a full 12 days. Once cooled, remove it and it is ready. The jar must be made of well-fired clay, with an even wall thickness of 1 cun, and sun-dried before use. Another method involves burning it over a fire of rice bran.
