Formulas Name : He Shou Wu Powder

Chinese Name : 何首乌散

Drug Formulation

Saposhnikovia root, Sophora root, Polygonum multiflorum, and Peppermint, each in equal parts.

From *Pu Ji Fang*, Volume 272, citing *Yi Fang Ji Cheng*.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a coarse powder.

Benefits

For sores, swelling, itching, and pain all over the body.

Instructions for Use

Use half a liang of the mixture, with equal parts water and wine (totaling 1 dou 6 sheng). Boil until it has boiled 10 times, then use the hot liquid for a wash. Sleep for a while in a sheltered place away from the wind. For severe pain, recovery will occur within 3 days.
