Drug Formulation
12 liang of Da Huai Rehmannia (combine 3 liang of Amomum villosum, 3 liang of aged ginger, and the Rehmannia in a sandpot; first boil in clean water for two days and nights; when the Rehmannia is nearly mushy, add fine wine and continue boiling until the Rehmannia is completely pulverized; remove from heat, strain out the Amomum villosum, discard the ginger slices, and pound the Rehmannia into a paste for later use),Large Angelica Root 12 liang (remove the top and bottom, slice the body, wash with fine wine, sun-dry, and set aside for use), Bleached Atractylodes 12 liang (use clean, dry slices; grind with yellow earth, stir-fry until deep yellow, remove from heat, and sift out the earth; for plump, fair-skinned pregnant women with qi deficiency, add 2 liang), Solid Scutellaria Root 6 liang (do not use withered or withered-looking roots; select small, solid ones and slice them,stir-fry with wine three times; add 1 liang for pregnant women who are dark-skinned and thin, and 2 liang for those with an irritable temperament), Du Zhong (12 liang; slice, stir-fry with salt water until the strands snap), and Chuan Xu Duan (12 liang; slice, stir-fry with wine).

Processing
Combine the last five ingredients, bake them over a fire until dry, grind them into a fine powder using a stone mill, and sift. Mix thoroughly with the prepared Rehmannia paste, add a small amount of refined honey, place in a stone mortar, and pound with over a thousand strokes to form pills the size of mung beans.

Instructions for Use
Take 3 qian with salted water every morning and 3 qian with wine before bedtime. Follow this regimen daily without interruption. For pregnant women of a generally frail constitution, a double dose may be administered. Begin taking the remedy in the first month of pregnancy; it takes seven months to ensure safety.
Note
Strictly avoid sexual activity, physical exertion, and anger during the first three months; violating these precautions will inevitably lead to miscarriage.
