Chinese Name : 铁屑丸
Drug Formulation
1 liang of needle sand (quenched in vinegar 7 times; discard the sand and retain the vinegar), 5 liang of black jujubes (steamed twice in a rice pot; pound with skin on and pitted until pulpy, then add vinegar), an appropriate amount of Artemisia capillaris (use both stems and leaves), and 7 qian of soapstone alum (cleaned and thoroughly calcined in a copper pot).

Processing
Grind the latter two ingredients into a fine powder; mash the black jujube flesh, mix in the needle sand and vinegar, and form into pills.
Benefits
Indications: jaundice, dermatitis, and edema.
Instructions for Use
After taking one dose, increased urination indicates the formula is effective; the condition will be completely eradicated after 4–5 doses.
Note
Avoid fishy foods, salt, and moist, water-retaining substances.
