Drug Formulation
Tiannanxing (ground into powder, mixed with the bile of a yellow ox in the 12th lunar month, placed inside the gallbladder, hung in a drafty place to air-dry; ready for use after 100 days) 1 liang, Curcuma zedoaria 1 liang, Gastrodia elata 1 liang, Fangfeng (stem removed) 1 liang,White Aconite Root (roasted) 1 liang, White Silkworm (roasted, with silk and mouth removed) 1 liang, Cinnabar (ground separately) 1 liang, Cicada Shedding (cleaned of soil) half a liang,2 qian of musk (ground separately), 21 pieces of Tianjiangzi (roasted), 1 red-footed centipede (make an incision along the spine, insert 1 qian of musk inside, then wrap in paper and bake until dry), half a qian of ox bile, 49 scorpion tails (roasted), and 1 dried toad (toasted until yellow, legs removed).

Processing
Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Use water from an eastern-flowing stream to boil a wheat flour paste, then form it into pills the size of a chicken’s head and coat them with gold leaf.

Instructions for Use
For each dose, first administer half a qian of white powder (i.e., the “Qingzhou White Pills” from the *Bureau Formulary*, ground into powder) with peppermint decoction; then dissolve one pill in fresh ginger juice and administer it, regardless of the time of day.
