Menstrual Regulation and Nourishing the Blood Pills,When a woman has an innate deficiency of vital energy or an acquired insufficiency of nourishing energy, the blood vessels of the Chong and Ren meridians become disharmonious, leading to irregular menstruation—with cycles that are erratic and unpredictable, and varying flow volumes from one period to the next.the color of the menstrual blood may appear abnormal—yellowish or purplish—and pain in the lower back and abdomen may occur before the expected period. Alternatively, upon the onset of menstruation, the limbs may feel weak and fatigued. There are also cases of deficiency in both qi and blood, where the Dai Meridian fails to guide the flow, resulting in pain due to a sensation of emptiness and sinking within the abdomen. In severe cases, a failure of communication between the Heart and Kidney may occur, causing the Tian Kui to cease functioning, which makes conception difficult and leads to vaginal discharge of red or white discharge. Compounded by emotional stagnation and heat in the palms and soles, reduced appetite, a sallow complexion and emaciation, dizziness and blurred vision, soreness and pain in the lower back and knees, fullness and distension in the three epigastric regions, weakness in the limbs, blood masses and masses, and varying degrees of dull pain.
