Chaihu (Bupleurum root) in any amount (remove the root tip, wash thoroughly, roast until yellow—do not let it become too charred; Silver State variety is not required).

Instructions for Use

Take 2 qian per dose, boil with 1 zhan of water and 2 pieces of Diguipi (each about the size of a fingertip) until the liquid is reduced to 70 percent of its original volume; take warm after meals. For those who are emaciated due to deficiency, take tonic herbs on an empty stomach; after meals, take several doses of this decoction, sipping it frequently as if drinking water.
