Drug Formulation

Ephedra 5 liang (with nodes intact, sorted and cleaned for raw use), Ginseng 2 liang, White Atractylodes 2 liang, Dried Ginger (roasted) 2 liang, Poria Sclerotium 1.5 liang, Aconite Root (roasted, with skin and pith removed) 1.5 liang, White Frankincense (ground separately) 1.5 liang, Licorice (roasted) 1.5 liang, Frankincense (ground separately) 1 liang, Whole Scorpion (roasted) 1 liang.

Processing

Finely chop the Ephedra; add 5 sheng of water and boil until reduced by half. Add 6 liang of honey and continue boiling until it forms a paste. Mix in the powdered ingredients listed above to form pills the size of a marble.
