Drug Formulation

4 liang of frankincense (wrap in bamboo leaves, heat until red-hot, then press with a brick to extract the oil); 4 liang of pure myrrh (remove oil as described above); 4 liang of fresh blood-gum resin; 4 liang of white catechu; 4 liang of high-quality silver vermilion; 4 liang of Hangzhou starch; 4 liang of high-quality yellow丹; 3 qian of high-quality copper green.

Processing

Grind each of the above ingredients separately until no sound is heard, sift into an extremely fine powder, and mix thoroughly.

Instructions for Use

When ready to apply, depending on the size of the affected area, take a piece of oiled paper from Jialian or Sishui, prick it with a needle to create numerous small holes, apply 5 qian of the medicinal powder to each sheet, spread it evenly with genuine sesame oil, cover with another sheet of oiled paper, sew the edges securely with thread, and apply to the affected area, securing it tightly with soft silk.After three days, remove the plaster. Wash the affected area with a strong decoction of scallions, pat dry with soft silk, then flip the plaster over and reapply it following the previous method.

Note

This formula is most effective after the lesion has ruptured; it is not suitable for use before rupture or when significant pus has not yet formed.
