Processing
Use 10 jin of genuine sesame oil; add the herbs, simmer over alternating high and low heat until the herbs are charred, strain out the residue, and continue boiling until a drop of oil forms a bead when held up to the light; for every jin of pure oil, add 5 liang of thoroughly washed Dongdan in spring and fall, 4 liang in winter, and 6 liang in summer; after the ointment is formed, add 1 liang each of frankincense and myrrh powder and stir evenly.
