Drug Formulation
3 liang of ginseng, 3 liang of Asparagus root (soaked in wine, core removed), 3 liang of Ophiopogon tuber (soaked in wine, core removed), 2 liang of prepared Rehmannia root (steamed with wine, pounded), 2 liang of raw Rehmannia root, 5 liang of Poria (soaked in wine, sun-dried), and 5 liang of Lycium bark (soaked in wine).

Processing
Add half a jin of He Shou Wu to the above ingredients. Soak it in rice washing water until thoroughly saturated, then use a bamboo knife to scrape off the skin and slice it. Place the slices in a sandpot, add 1 jin of black mutton and 3 he of black beans, and pour in an appropriate amount of water. Place a steaming rack on top, lay the He Shou Wu slices on the rack, cover tightly to prevent steam from escaping, and steam for 1–2 hours until the meat is tender. Remove, dry in the sun, grind into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
