Drug Formulation

1 jin of areca nut, 1 jin of rhubarb, half a jin of ground pharbitis, half a jin of eucommia bark, half a jin of wild sesame seeds (ground separately), half a jin of thunder seed, 4 liang of crane lice, 4 liang of tin ash, and 2 liang of asafoetida (dissolved in wine and kneaded separately).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 1.5 jin of soapberry (peeled, stringy parts removed, and cleaned), soak it in hot water, and rub it until soft. Strain the orange-infused water to remove the dregs. Mix the powdered medicine with the soapberry water and bind into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 4 qian per dose. At the fifth watch, boil 7 scallion whites in water to make a decoction to wash down the medicine, then eat 3 jujubes to help the medicine settle. The next morning at daybreak, after the bowels have moved once, expel the harmful accumulations. If there are accumulations, they will be completely expelled after several bowel movements. If only thin, watery stool is seen without any solid matter, immediately consume warm, thin rice porridge to replenish the body.
