Drug Formulation

3 liang of Eucommia bark (roasted with butter), 4 liang of donkey-hide gelatin (stir-fried with clam powder), 4 liang of Ophiopogon tuber (core removed), 6 liang of raw Rehmannia root (washed with wine), 8 liang of white peony root (4 liang raw, 4 liang stir-fried with wine), 3 liang of Schisandra berries, 3 liang of Artemisia annua seeds, 3 liang of Cornus officinalis fruit pulp, 1 liang of Bupleurum root,Zhi Ke 3 liang (aged varieties from Jiangxi are best; half raw, half stir-fried), Ai Ye 2 liang (made into cakes by mixing with vinegar infused with Xiang Fu, then sun-dried), Bie Jia 4 liang (vinegar-roasted), Pi Pa Ye (hairs removed, honey-roasted) 10 liang.
