Drug Formulation

5 liang of Angelica sinensis root tips, 5 liang of Coptis chinensis (roasted), 2 liang of red rice mold, 5 liang of rhinoceros horn (roasted), 5 liang of areca nut, 8 qian of realgar, 5 liang of hawthorn, 5 liang of lacquer (calcined), 5 liang of styrax, 5 liang of red peony root, 5 liang of trichosanthes fruit (roasted),Eucommia Bark (roasted) 5 liang, Acorus Rhizome (roasted) 5 liang, Processed Ginger 5 liang, Sichuan Achyranthes Root 5 liang, Curcuma Rhizome (roasted) 5 liang, Black Sesame Seeds (roasted) 2 liang, Shenqu (roasted) 5 liang, Bitter Orange Peel (roasted) 7 liang,Radish Seeds (roasted) 10 liang, Sodium Silicate 10 liang, Rhubarb 200 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, sift through a sieve, and mix with water containing magnesium sulfate to form small pills the size of peas. For every 16 liang of the mixture, use 3 liang and 5 qian of talc as a coating to make them glossy.

Instructions for Use

Take 10–20 pills per dose, twice daily, with warm water.

Note

Do not take if elderly with qi deficiency; contraindicated for pregnant women.
