Processing

Boil Southern Star in water until no white spots remain; remove and discard the soap pods. Slice the ginger and sun-dry it together with Pinellia and Southern Star. Then add Green Tangerine Peel (white pith removed), Dried Tangerine Peel, Perilla Seeds (roasted), Radish Seeds (roasted and ground separately), Dried Kudzu, Apricot Kernels (skin and tip removed, ground separately), Roasted Wheat Bran,hawthorn, shenqu (roasted), and cyperus rhizome—each half jin (net weight)—combine all these ingredients with the previous herbs, grind into a fine powder, soak steamed buns in ginger juice, make a paste, and form into pills the size of a tung tree seed.
