Instructions for Use

At the first sign of a stiff, heavy head, immediately instill a small amount into the nostrils; inhale it and then expel it. Take one fangcun bi per dose with warm wine; after sleeping and breaking a sweat, the condition will be cured. It is also appropriate to use a small amount when walking in the morning or at night, or when examining patients; instilling it into the nostrils or applying it as a powder is best. For cattle and horse plague, place one bi under the tongue and wash it down with urine 3–4 times a day; this is highly effective.
