Drug Formulation

Tortoise shell (roasted with wine) 1 liang and a half, Phellodendron bark (stir-fried with wine) 5 qian, Anemarrhena rhizome 5 qian (peeled, mixed with wine, and pounded into a paste), Ginseng 2 liang, Raw Rehmannia root 1 liang and a half (mixed with wine, steamed in a copper vessel for half a day, and pounded into a paste).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix in the two pastes, and form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using refined honey or a wine paste.

Take 70–80 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine; salted water may also be used.
