Drug Formulation

Half a jin of Zi Jin Pi (with the curled outer layer; the inner part should be purple-iron in color; use the root tip), 3 liang of polished, floating Cao Wu (peeled and de-tipped; ground into powder), and 3 liang of Mu Bie Zi (use the flesh; finely chopped, soaked in rice vinegar until thoroughly saturated, then ground into a paste).

Processing

Mix the first two ingredients with the Euphorbia thunbergii paste, then form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using rice vinegar paste.

Effective for all types of cold-dampness-induced arthralgia and pain in the tendons and bones.

Instructions for Use

Take 30–40 pills per dose, increasing to 50 pills; for arm pain, take before bedtime; for leg pain in the middle of the night, take on an empty stomach, washed down with chilled wood apple wine.

Note

Avoid hot foods after taking this medicine.
