Formulas Name : Remnant Sunset Ointment
Chinese Name : 残霞膏
Drug Formulation
4 liang of black snake, 1.5 liang of gallnut, 0.5 liang of snake skin (raw, coarsely chopped), 20 croton seeds (shells removed), 1 liang of realgar, 1 liang of calcium carbonate (ground into powder), and 1 qian of musk.

Processing
Place 2.5 jin of oil in a cauldron and heat until fragrant; add the above ingredients and simmer. When the mixture—including the croton seeds—turns black and charred, strain out the herbs and discard them. Then add 1.5 liang of beeswax and simmer over low heat until it forms a paste; store in a porcelain container.

Instructions for Use
For any wind-toxin sores, apply a small piece of paper soaked in the ointment.
