Drug Formulation
High-quality Sichuan Coptis 1 jin (sort into three grades—upper, middle, and lower—and set aside. Take 3 jin of ginger, peel it, and set the peels aside. Pound the ginger to extract its juice, then use the juice to soak the Coptis separately overnight).

Processing
First, grind dry wall soil into a fine powder and spread it on the bottom of a pan; then lay a thick layer of cotton paper on top. Place the Coptis on the paper and stir-fry until dry; mix with the ginger juice and stir-fry again. Repeat this process nine times, then grind the mixture together with the ginger peel into a fine powder and form into pills by adding a few drops of water.
