Drug Formulation
5 Chebulic Myrobalan fruits (wrap in flour, roast over a fire until cooked—neither raw nor charred; remove the flour; while still hot, bite open the fruits, discard the seeds, and use only the peel; then dry in an oven).

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use
Take 2 qian bi per dose. Simmer with 1.5 zhan of rice broth until reduced to 1 zhan. Consume on an empty stomach, including the residue. It is even better if 1–2 mouthfuls of saliva are vomited afterward.
Note
Do not administer this medicine if high fever has not subsided or bloody dysentery has not diminished.
