Formulas Name : Secret Formula for Golden-Haired Lion Sores
Chinese Name : 秘制金毛狮子疮药
Drug Formulation
2 liang of Scutellaria baicalensis, 2 liang of Schizonepeta spikelets, 2 liang of Coptis chinensis, 2 liang of Gallnut, 2 liang of Rubia cordifolia, 2 liang of Sophora japonica twig tips, 2 liang of sodium silicate, 2 liang of Phellodendron amurense (grind into a coarse powder, then roast until deep yellow), 2 liang of earth sulfur (boiled in vinegar),2 liang of dried alum (ground into a fine powder), 3 qian of croton seed pulp, 5 qian of castor bean seeds, 2 liang of large wind seeds (cleaned pulp) (pound the above herbs into a paste, then mix thoroughly with the previous ingredients until finely ground), 1 liang of mercury, 1 liang of black lead (ground together), 5 qian of realgar, 5 qian of camphor (grind all together with the previous ingredients).

Instructions for Use
Take 1 qian each time and mix with the previously prepared medicinal ointment to apply to the affected area. For chronic blood-wind sores on the feet that have not healed for many years, first wash the area with the medicinal solution and pat dry; then lightly dust with finely ground talcum powder before applying the medicinal ointment. For best results, one day prior to applying the ointment, mix deer antler powder with oil and apply a thick layer to the sore overnight; the next day, apply the ointment as described.
