Drug Formulation

Half a liang of ox bile, half a liang of raw borneol, 1.5 liang of cinnabar (ground), 1 liang of Tiannanxing (soaked in whey, thoroughly boiled, sliced, and roasted), 1 liang of black snake (soaked in wine, meat extracted),1 liang of white silkworm pupae (roasted), 1 liang of Gastrodia elata, 1 liang of ginseng, 3 fen of dried whole scorpions (roasted), 3 fen of white aconite root (roasted), 3 fen of water-ground realgar, 3 fen of raw rhinoceros horn (chipped), and 1 fen of musk.

Processing

Grind all ingredients except those specified for pounding into a fine powder. Then combine them with the pounded ingredients, mix thoroughly, and form into pills the size of a chicken’s head using refined honey.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 to 2 pills per dose, chewing them thoroughly, and swallow them with ginseng and mint tea after meals or before bedtime; dissolving them is also acceptable.

Note

For those with wind-induced drooling, regular administration after meals is most appropriate.
