Drug Formulation

2 liang of Sixian Wood, half a liang of dried scorpion, 1.5 liang of Acanthopanax bark, 1.5 liang of Fangfeng, 1.5 liang of Smilax glabra, 1.5 liang of Gastrodia elata, 1.5 liang of Coix seed, 1.5 liang of Dipsacus asper, 1.5 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala, 1.5 liang of Notopterygium incisum, 1.5 liang of Achyranthes bidentata, and 1.5 liang of raw Rehmannia glutinosa.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take half a jin of Xuanzhou wood apple (with pulp, peel, and seeds removed), steam it first, then slice it into pieces. Dissolve 3 liang of rock salt in 2 sheng of fine wine, and simmer the wood apple slices with the salted wine until they become a thick paste. Form the mixture into pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 40–50 pills per dose on an empty stomach, before meals, with either warm wine or salted broth. If the paste is too thick, add a small amount of wine and cook with wheat starch paste to form pills; take three times daily.
