Chinese Name : 石炭散
Drug Formulation
2 liang of coal (crushed and ground), 5 liang of red carp scales, 4 liang of dried lotus root nodes, 1 liang of tangled hair, 2 liang of rotten cattail, 2 liang of palm bark, 1 liang of red indigo flowers, and 1 liang of Chinese bellflower.

Processing
Place all the ingredients in a porcelain jar, seal it tightly with a salt-mud paste, and let it dry. Cover the top with a brick blank, then seal it with half a scale of charcoal fire. After walking 1–2 li, blue smoke will first emerge, followed by white smoke. Gradually reduce the heat. After one night, remove it once cooled, pound it finely, sift it into a powder, add 1 fen of musk, and grind them together until fine.

Instructions for Use
Take 1 qian per dose, mixed with warm wine; take another dose after walking 3–5 li. The retained lochia will be expelled.
