Drug Formulation

1 liang of antelope horn (decoct into a concentrated broth, mix with the other herbs, sun-dry, and grind; grinding into a fine powder is even better), 3 qian of cicada wings, 3 qian of burdock root, 3 qian of white aconite root (mixed with 1.5 qian of bamboo sap and 1.5 qian of ginger juice, then sun-dried and ground),3 qian of tangerine peel, 3 qian of stiffened silkworm (lightly soaked), 3 qian of processed Gastrodia, 4 qian of Platycodon root, 4 qian of raw Pinellia (mixed with 1 qian of bamboo sap and 1 qian of ginger juice, sun-dried, and ground),whole scorpion (rinsed) 4 qian, soapwort 1 qian, toad venom (steamed with wine until melted, mixed with Pinellia and Aconite, sun-dried, and ground) 1 qian, Dangmenzi 1 qian 5 fen, 12 beetles (legs and wings removed, combined while raw), plantain 5 qian, Indian saffron 5 qian, Poria 5 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with 1 zhong of glutinous rice, 5 qian of ginger juice, and 1 liang of bamboo sap to form a paste, then roll into pills the size of a Paulownia seed. Coat with 3 qian of cinnabar.
