1 liang of Huangdan (sifted), 1 liang of dried alum, 1 liang of beeswax, 8 qian of pomegranate peel (roasted).

Processing

Melt the beeswax in a small copper spoon; then grind the three ingredients—Orpiment, Alum, and the others—into a fine powder, add it while still hot, and roll into pills the size of mung beans.
