Drug Formulation

Aconite Root 3 liang (roasted, with skin and pith removed), Angelica Root (cleaned of soil, washed, and sliced) 2 liang,Astragalus (roasted) 2 liang, White Peony Root 2 liang, Sichuan Lovage (briefly heated) 1.5 liang, Fangfeng (stem removed) 1.5 liang, White Atractylodes 1.5 liang, Cinnamon Bark (coarse bark removed, not heated) 1 liang, Poria 7.5 qian, Prepared Rehmannia Root (washed, simmered with a small amount of wine until dry, then baked) 7.5 qian.

Instructions for Use

Prepare the ingredients as described above, then weigh them. Take 4 qian per dose. Boil with 1 large bowl of water, adding 8 slices of fresh ginger and 3 jujubes (split open), until the liquid is reduced to 7 fen. Strain out the residue and drink the entire decoction. Take three times daily—after meals and before bedtime—and keep warm by wrapping in thick clothing.
