Processing
Soak the mung beans in cold water for a short while, then remove the skins; sun-dry the remaining ingredients and grind them into a powder; separately grind the borneol and realgar into a fine powder and mix them in.

Instructions for Use
Adults may take 1 qian; those aged 15–16 should take 4 fen, washed down with plain hot water. Then have the patient eat a small amount of starchy foods such as flour cakes or pastries, which should induce vomiting. If vomiting does not occur immediately, use a stiff goose feather dipped in tung oil to stimulate the throat and induce vomiting. After vomiting, the patient will feel fatigued and should rest quietly for half a day. When the patient feels hungry, give a small amount of lukewarm rice water—do not give too much, and do not serve it hot. Rice porridge may be introduced the following day.After vomiting, the patient often feels thirsty; do not give tea. Instead, have them drink clear urine from a child, or their own urine—known as “reincarnation wine”—as both can flush out residual impurities and neutralize the toxicity of the medicine.
