Drug Formulation
Angelica sinensis root (washed with wine) 4 liang, Huai raw Rehmannia root 2 jin, Huai prepared Rehmannia root 4 liang, sweet Goji berries 1 jin, white peony root (stir-fried with rice flour) 1 jin, ginseng 4 liang, Liaoning Schisandra berries 1 liang, Ophiopogon tuber (core removed) 5 liang, Lycium bark 4 liang, white Atractylodes (rhizome with root tip removed) 4 liang,Poria cocos (peeled) 12 liang, lotus seed 4 liang, Huai yam 5 liang, Fritillaria (core removed) 3 liang, licorice 3 liang, amber 1 qian 3 fen, coix seed (stir-fried with rice flour) 8 liang.

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with 10 jin of water, and simmer over low heat. When the liquid has evaporated, add another 10 jin of water. Repeat this process four times. Strain out the residue, collect the liquid, and boil it over alternating low and medium heat until the volume is reduced by one-third. For every jin of liquid, add 4 liang of refined, cooked honey in spring and 5 liang in summer. Continue boiling until it forms a paste.
