Drug Formulation

45g of Carica papaya, 75g of Mulberry mistletoe, 204g of Polygonatum, 30g of Dipsacus asper, 90g of Sichuan Achyranthes, 45g of Angelica sinensis, 60g of Ligusticum chuanxiong, 45g of Safflower, 30g of Angelica pubescens, 30g of Notopterygium, 60g of Saposhnikovia divaricata, 90g of Atractylodes macrocephala, 60g of Silkworm sand, 180g of Red yeast rice, and 30g of Licorice.

Processing

Of the 15 ingredients listed above, with the exception of red yeast rice, the remaining 14—including papaya—are ground into a coarse powder.Separately, take 555 g of brown sugar and dissolve it in 1,110 g of white liquor. Following the percolation method described under “Liquid Extracts” and “Extracts,” use the brown sugar-liquor mixture as the solvent. After macerating for 48 hours, slowly percolate at a rate of 1–3 mL per minute, collect the percolate, allow it to stand, and filter to obtain the final product.
