Drug Formulation

1 liang of Astragalus (chopped), 1.5 liang of Smilax glabra (chopped), 1.5 liang of Saposhnikovia root (stem removed), 2 liang of Achyranthes root (shoots removed), 1 liang of Cinnamon bark,2 liang of Dendrobium (roots removed), 1.5 liang of Eucommia (coarse bark removed, lightly roasted until pale yellow, chopped), 2 liang of Cistanche (soaked in wine overnight, rough outer skin scraped off, roasted until dry), 1 liang of Aconite (cracked during roasting, skin and pith removed), 1 liang of Cornus officinalis, 1 liang of Erica, and 1 liang of Poria cocos.

Processing

Finely chop the ingredients, place them in a silk bag, and steep in 2 dou of wine in a porcelain bottle; seal the bottle tightly.
