Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. First, burn equal parts of locust and willow branches to produce 2 sheng of ash. Pour 1 bowl of water over the ash in a dry, small iron pot, add 1 liang of beeswax, and simmer over heat until all the water has evaporated. Then, melt the wax completely and stir in the five medicinal powders to form a paste.

Instructions for Use

Spread the mixture onto thick paper placed over a hot iron plate to form wax-coated paper; cut it into strips 4 fen wide and 4 cun long. Apply a strip to the affected tooth before bedtime and remove it at dawn.
