Drug Formulation

Half a liang of cloves (ground into a powder), 1 jin of sesame oil, 7 liang of orpiment, 1 liang of a man’s hair, 1 liang of wax, half a liang of cinnamon bark (ground into a powder), and half a liang of angelica root (ground into a powder).

Processing

First, heat the sesame oil until fragrant; add the hair and simmer until it is completely dissolved. Next, add the wax, filter through cotton, and transfer everything to a cauldron. Add the orpiment and stir continuously until the mixture turns black and a drop of water forms a bead. Immediately add the ground cloves, cinnamon bark, and angelica root, stir until uniform, and store in a porcelain jar.

Instructions for Use

Apply a thin layer to a piece of old cloth and apply it to the affected area, changing it twice daily.
