Drug Formulation

Atractylodes lancea 10 liang, Magnolia officinalis (processed) 10 liang, Tangerine peel 10 liang, Licorice 10 liang, Jujubes half jin (weighed after removing pits), Fresh ginger 20 liang (sliced), Millet 1 sheng (washed). The above is from the ancient text. The following are additional ingredients: Atractylodes macrocephala 2 qian, Poria cocos 2 qian, Fennel 2 qian.

Processing

Combine all the herbs in a single pot. Simmer over alternating high and low heat with water covering the herbs by about 3 cun. Continue simmering until the liquid has completely evaporated, then roast over a fire and grind into a fine powder.
