Realgar (ground and sifted) 1 liang, Curcuma 1 liang, Croton seeds (peeled) 14 pieces.

Processing
Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, then mix with vinegar paste to form pills the size of mung beans.

For laryngeal spasm and acute laryngeal obstruction, where the patient suddenly collapses, the jaw clenches tightly, and the patient loses consciousness.
Instructions for Use
Take 7 pills at a time, washed down with clear tea. If stubborn phlegm is coughed up, the patient will immediately regain consciousness; if not, take another dose. If the patient is near death but the area above the heart is still warm, use a knife, ruler, or iron spoon to pry open the mouth and force the medicine down the throat; all such patients will survive. For acute convulsions in children, use 2–3 pills, adjusting the dose according to the child’s size. Another method involves grinding the pills with vinegar and administering the mixture orally; this induces phlegm expulsion even more rapidly.
