Drug Formulation

2 jin of Smilax glabra, 1 liang of Saposhnikovia root, 1 liang of Schizonepeta, 1 liang of Acanthopanax bark, 1 liang of Dictamnus root bark, 1 liang of Carica papaya, 1 liang of Clematis root, 1 liang of white peony root, 1 liang of Angelica sinensis (washed with wine), 1 liang of Ligusticum wallichii, 1 liang of raw Rehmannia root (washed with wine),1 liang Achyranthes root, 1 liang Poria cocos, 1 liang Eucommia bark (roasted), 1 liang Lycium bark, 1 liang Angelica dahurica, 1 liang Clematis vine, 1 liang Sophora flower, 1 liang Coptis.

Instructions for Use

Prepare 10 doses as follows. For each dose, use equal parts water and wine; decoct until reduced to 1 zhong. Decoct the residue again, mix thoroughly, and divide into two doses for oral administration.Dry the herbal residue in the sun; combine the residue from 3 doses to make a decoction, and use it for a warm bath. However, if the condition worsens after taking the first 5 doses—indicating that toxic energy is being expelled outward—mild cases will be cured after more than 10 doses, while severe cases will require no more than 20 doses, and remarkable results are guaranteed.

Note

Avoid sexual activity, raw and cold foods, as well as duck, chicken, goose, mutton, pig’s head, pig’s trotters, fish, shrimp, and all other foods that agitate the qi.
