Benefits

For abscesses, toxic sores, and back boils.

Instructions for Use

Except for the oil, wax, lead丹, and the first eight ingredients (which are ground into a powder), all other herbs should be coarsely chopped.First, heat the oil until it boils; add the 14 chopped ingredients, including sandalwood, and simmer until the angelica root turns reddish-black. Strain, discard the residue, and simmer again. Add the wax and lead丹, stirring with a willow whisk until the mixture turns black. Test the consistency by dripping a drop into water—it should form a bead. Once the softness and hardness are appropriate, add the 8 unnamed ingredients ground into a fine powder, stir until uniform, and store in a porcelain container.Apply a layer of this mixture to the sore using a piece of old cloth, changing the dressing once daily until healed.
