Drug Formulation

1 fen of realgar (finely ground), 1 fen of ox bile (finely ground), half fen of borneol (finely ground), 1 liang of white aconite (raw), 1 liang of white flower snake (soaked in wine, bones removed, lightly roasted until pale yellow), 1 liang of gastrodia,1 liang of white silkworm pupae (lightly roasted), half a liang of Pinellia (soaked in boiling water 7 times to remove slime), 1 liang of Aconite (raw), 1 liang of Aconite Root (peeled and de-seeded, raw), half a fen of Musk (finely ground), 1 liang of Angelica (raw), 1 liang of dried scorpion (lightly roasted), half a liang of lead frost (finely ground), 1 fen of cicada shell,10 liang of Chuanxiong, 1 fen of talcum powder, 1 fen of rhino horn shavings, 1 liang of horse-tooth calcine (burned until uniformly red, then cooled to remove the fire toxicity), half a liang of sulfur, and half a liang of mercury (combined with sulfur to form granules, then finely ground).

Processing

Grind all the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly, and knead with refined honey to form pills the size of a mung bean.

Instructions for Use

Take 7 pills at a time, mixed with peppermint wine, 3–4 times daily.

Note

For stroke-induced weakness and limpness in the limbs, take after a shower, cover well to induce sweating, and avoid drafts. Avoid pork, chicken, and other toxic, slippery, or wind-inducing foods.
