Chinese Name : 破阴丹

Drug Formulation

Sulfur (imported) 1 liang, mercury 1 liang, aged tangerine peel (white pith removed) half a liang, green tangerine peel (white pith removed) half a liang (ground into a powder).

Processing

First, melt the sulfur in a crucible; then add the mercury. Stir thoroughly with an iron rod until no specks remain. Pour the mixture into a black tea cup and grind it into a fine powder. Add the other two ingredients and grind them together until uniform. Form into pills the size of a paulownia seed using a thick wheat-flour paste.

Instructions for Use

Take 30 pills per dose. If restlessness is present, take with cold salted water; if the syndrome is yin in nature, take with cold mugwort decoction.
