Drug Formulation

Half fen of Wood Fragrance (processed), 1 liang of Sanling, 1 liang of E Zhu, 1 liang of White Atractylodes, half liang of Trifoliate Orange Peel (pulp removed, stir-fried with bran until yellow), half liang of White Poria, half liang of Angelica sinensis, half liang of Corydalis, half liang of Ginseng, half liang of Prepared Rehmannia (washed), half liang of Moutan Bark, half liang of Licorice Root.

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder and form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using rice paste.

Instructions for Use

Take 15–20 pills each time, swallowed with warm wine; take regularly. The following decoctions are used as adjuvants: for generalized body pain, including pain in the legs and hands, before pregnancy, take with wine mixed with stir-fried ginger; for abdominal pain before pregnancy, and to stabilize the fetus, take with wine decocted with Lithospermum; for vomiting and regurgitation of food before pregnancy, take with glutinous rice drink;If unable to eat or drink and experiencing general fatigue before pregnancy, take with wine made from soybeans; if experiencing fever before pregnancy, take with licorice decoction; if coughing before pregnancy, take with stewed ginger and salt decoction; if suffering from headache before pregnancy, take with stewed scallions and tea; if experiencing diarrhea before or after childbirth, take with perilla, ginger, and wine; to induce labor when the placenta fails to expel, chew 3 cun of scallion white and take with warm wine;For postpartum dysentery with red and white stools, take with a decoction of dried ginger and licorice; for unstoppable postpartum bleeding, take 1 qian of burnt gauze cap ash mixed with wine; if ash is unavailable, omit it; for generalized postpartum edema, take with wine infused with aged tangerine peel (white pith removed, roasted); for headaches, take with peppermint tea; for regular use, take with meals or drinks;For red and white vaginal discharge, mix 3 qian of burnt palm ash with wine and take it; for long-standing blood and qi clots causing chest pain, take it with warm wine, or with wine mixed with stir-fried ginger, or with wine infused with Alpinia officinarum—all are acceptable; for women and young maidens with blocked menstrual flow, take a decoction of safflower and sappan wood mixed with wine; for irregular menstruation—whether early, late, heavy, or light—take a decoction of Angelica sinensis mixed with wine;For constipation or diarrhea, take it with a decoction of lampwick; for insufficient lactation, take it with a soup of pickled radish and pork trotters; for postpartum lower back pain, take it with a decoction of peony root in wine.
