Drug Formulation

Qingpi, Zhimu, Bai Xuanpi, Chenpi, Yunfuling, Jili, Chuanjinpi, Diguopi, Baizhu, Ganjuju, Jiaoci, Houpo, Maimendong, Ma Huang, Gan Ge, and Shan Nai—all in equal parts (Soak the above herbs in water: 5 days in spring, 3 days in summer;7 days in autumn, and 10 days in winter; strain out the residue and boil down to a dry consistency, then add the following herbs): Catechu 1 qian 5 fen, Dragon’s Blood 2 qian 5 fen, Cuttlefish Bone 5 qian (roasted), Myrrh 2 qian (roasted), Borax 1 liang,Stone Crab 0.5 fen, Stone Swallow 1 qian 6 fen, Xuanming Powder 3 qian 5 fen, Golden Essence Stone 2 qian 5 fen (calcined with vinegar), Silver Essence Stone 2 qian 5 fen (calcined with vinegar), Copper Green 5 qian, Blue Calamine 1 qian 5 fen, Mulberry Bark Ash 3 qian, Cinnabar 3 qian, Magnetite 1 liang (calcined with vinegar), Dragon Bone 3 qian (calcined), Mercury Oxide 3 qian,3 qian of bear bile (roasted), 5 qian of Ming realgar (water-floated), 1 liang of bile alum, 5 qian of fly cinnabar, 6 qian of processed glycyrrhiza, and 1 qian 5 fen of frankincense (roasted).
