Drug Formulation

Half a liang of Astragalus, 1 fen of Bletilla, 1 fen of Angelica dahurica, 1 fen of White Weiye, 1 fen of Angelica sinensis, 1 fen of Red Peony, 1 fen of Saposhnikovia (with the root tip removed), 1 fen of Licorice, 1 fen of Asarum, 1 fen of tender mulberry twigs, 2 he of weeping willow twigs (finely chopped), 1 fen of Frankincense (finely ground), and 1 jin of clear sesame oil.

Processing

Finely chop all the herbs except for the frankincense. Place them in a cauldron and soak them in the oil overnight. Simmer over low heat until the willow twigs turn yellowish-black. Filter through cotton to remove the residue, then clarify the liquid. Wipe the cauldron clean. Simmer the herbal oil over low heat, add the yellow丹, and stir continuously with a willow wood spatula until the yellow丹 turns slightly black. Take a small amount and drop it into water; it should form a visible trail when twisted.Add frankincense and stir until evenly mixed, then pour into a non-porous container.

Instructions for Use

For each application, spread the mixture evenly on a piece of paper according to the size of the moxibustion sore and apply it. Change the dressing twice daily. Additionally, boil a decoction of green onions, dip a soft cloth in it, and use it to gently wipe and wash the affected area.
