Benefits

For women who have been infertile intermittently for 20–30 years, those who have been barren since birth, and those who have suffered repeated miscarriages.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. Soak them in 5 sheng of wine and 6 he of water overnight, then boil down to 3 sheng. Divide into 4 doses: take 3 times during the day and once at night. Allow 3 shichen between each dose. If sweating does not occur shortly after taking a dose, resume the regimen as usual. Cover with a blanket to induce mild sweating; if sweating does not occur, use a heated basket during winter. This will inevitably expel accumulated blood and cold, reddish pus resembling the juice of red adzuki beans. This condition arises from the presence of such pathogenic substances within a woman’s uterus. Symptoms may include pain below the navel on overcast days or irregular menstruation, both indicating the presence of cold blood that prevents conception. If the dosage is adjusted to expel all the pathogenic substances but the patient is too weak to continue the treatment, reduce the dosage to 2–3 doses per day until symptoms subside. If you feel extremely nauseated and cannot bear it, take one mouthful of vinegar-flavored rice or cold broth, and the symptoms will subside. However, there is a risk that the pathogenic matter may not be completely expelled, and the medicine may not be fully effective. If this is the case, it is best to endure and take the entire course; one day later, the purgative should be administered again.
