Drug Formulation

1 liang of Beijing-grown Curcuma zedoaria (steamed), 1 liang of Curcuma zedoaria var. pong-e, 1 liang of Poria cocos, 1 liang of Aconite root, 1 liang of radish seeds, 1 liang of red peony root, 1 liang of black pharbitis, 1 liang of Melia azedarach fruit, 1 liang of Artemisia capillaris, 1 liang of blue costus, 1 liang of aged tangerine peel, 1 liang of Wulingzhi, 1 liang of turmeric,Anise 1 liang, Southern Aquilaria 0.5 liang, Cloves 1 fen, Alisma 1.5 liang (all used raw), Sargassum (soaked in wine overnight, then dried in an oven) 1 liang,Sea Pumice (soaked in rice vinegar, calcined over a fire until red-hot, quenched in vinegar, then calcined and quenched again; repeat this process 7 times until black) 1 liang, Pangolin Scale (charred in hot ash) 1 liang, Green Tangerine Peel (white pith removed) 2 liang(1 liang used raw; 1 liang chopped into pieces, stir-fried with 50 Mylabris beetles—heads, legs, and wings removed—until yellow; discard the beetles), Cyperus Rhizome (pounded and cleaned) 2 liang (1 liang used raw; 1 liang stir-fried with 50 Croton seeds—shells removed—until charred; discard the seeds).

Processing

Chop the above ingredients into small pieces, mix them together, and lightly stir-fry. Grind into a fine powder, then form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using wine paste.
